Some common questions:
  1. What if I can’t make all of them?
    1. It’s best if you can, each session builds upon the previous. If you have to miss more than 2 it might be best to wait for another time when you can commit to all of them
  2. What am I getting myself into?
    1. Good question, the exercises and homework between the sessions will be times of looking inward and your family of origin for patterns that will need to be reshaped
  3. That sounds like a lot of work
    1. It can be depending on your family history, you’ll need to be in a place where you’re ready to examine and maybe even confront those patterns you’ve developed as a result
  4. Is it worth it?
    1. Absolutely, you probably know the saying “If you keep doing what you're doing you’ll keep getting what you’re getting”. See the graphic attached From Brokenness Toward Wholeness
  5. So in 8 weeks, I’ll be a completely transformed person and all my problems will be gone?
    1. Uh… I can safely say that in that time you’ll have identified areas and learned tools to help you get to wholeness but you’ll probably be working it indefinitely.
    2. Personally, I can say that having taken / led these worshops and others like it I’m better for it after 8 years of practicing and making adjustments along the way. I suggest starting with this emotional maturity assessment to see where you’re at currently. https://www.emotionallyhealthy.org/mature
  6. Do I take this by myself or with my spouse
    1. It’s about relationships, encourage anyone you are close to to take it, but it’s not a requirement, they might not be ready and that’s ok
  7. Is it just for married people?
    1. No
  8. I can’t take it this time, will you offer it again?
    1. Nothing is certain but Stephanie and I are open to it. There’s value in retaking it as well, you’ll learn something new each time.
  9. Can I bring someone that’s not a part of our church?
    1. Absolutely, it is based on scripture it’s open to anyone
  10. You mentioned homework, what’s that about?
    1. There are daily devotionals, light reading, and some journaling between sessions, you’ll get the most benefit if you do it, they are not time-consuming
  11. Why are there so many questions?
    1. If you’ve made it this far you’re probably a good candidate
