Matt Brown and his wife, Adriana, met while in college and were part of the campus ministry at the University of Texas. After finishing college and getting married in 2000, he and Adriana served in the ministry first in Houston, then back in Austin where their two children were born (Alana in 2004 and Ty in 2006). In 2007 they moved to serve with the church in the Rio Grande Valley, TX and finally moved to Nashville in 2018. Matt grew up as a missionaries’ kid in Argentina and made his own decision to follow Jesus at the age of 14, inspired by other teens who weren’t waiting until later to engage in Jesus’ mission to change the world. Matt continues his involvement with mission work in South America through efforts with the Greater Nashville Church, as well as serving on the board of the South American Missions Society.
