Priestly is a native of Baltimore, Maryland and an alumni of Tennessee State University where he was met and became a disciple of Jesus Christ in 1988. He has been a member of the Greater Nasville Church for 35 years. In that time he has served in the campus, teen, and married ministry. He has served the church in Nashville as a deacon and currently is serving as an elder since 2002. He enjoys taking long walks by the lake, listening to classical, reggae, and country music. He also enjoys playing chess. He has been married to his bride, Marilyn, for 25 years.
